It’s burger season again!
Well, isn’t is always burger season?
Let’s just say it’s time to pull out the BBQ grill.

It’s also always the season for blue cheese in our house. NOT for me, but for my hubby. I can’t stand the stinky stuff, but he adores it.
So, these burgers are for him.

And, by the way, so I hear, blue cheese and glazed carrots are a phenomenal combo – particularly with a splash of balsamic.

You’re welcome…

Balsamic Blue Cheese Carrot Burgers

1 1lb. 85% lean ground beef
1 Tbs. balsamic reduction
1/4 cup. blue cheese
sea salt and pepper

4 Carrot Protein Pancakes

spinach and extra blue cheese for garnish

Combine the ground beef, balsamic reduction, blue cheese, and plenty of sea salt and pepper in a large bowl. Using your hands, smoosh together until well combined. Form into two large burger patties.

Preheat grill or oven until super hot. Grill (or bake) until medium rare – if grilling, it’s usually 3-5 minutes per side. (You know your own grill and your own oven, right?)

Serve between two Carrot Protein Pancakes and sprinkle with spinach and blue cheese. Go ahead, even drizzle a touch more of the the balsamic glaze. You’re worth it!
