Adult ice cream.
Now there’s a novel idea.

A sweet treat just especially for us.

I can see the business model, and I’m ready.

Now that I’ve experimented a little, have the proportions down pat, the flavor combination ideas are drowning my thoughts, my focus, and my figures.

Or, maybe that’s just the wine.

I have to be honest, I really didn’t think the essence and aromas of the wine would be apparent among the cream.

I was wrong…and was quite pleasantly surprised.

Be ready ~ you may not be able to stop…

Sweet Red and Basil

2 cups heavy whipping cream
1 cup bold red wine
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
3 Tbs. fresh basil, cut in chiffonade

Make sure all ingredients (and the mixing bowl) are very cold before beginning.
Beat the cream in a large bowl until stiff peaks form.
Fold in the wine, sweetened condensed milk, and basil until well combined.

Transfer to a loaf pan (or any vessel, really) and freeze for at least 6 hours before digging in.

Sweet White and Blackberry Mint

2 cups heavy whipping cream
1 cup white wine
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
1 Tbs. fresh mint, thinly sliced
6 oz. fresh blackberries

Make sure all ingredients (and the mixing bowl) are very cold before beginning.
Beat the cream in a large bowl until stiff peaks form.
Fold in the wine, sweetened condensed milk, and mint until well combined. Very gently stir in 2/3 of the berries.

Transfer to a loaf pan (or any vessel, really) and freeze for at least 6 hours before digging in. Top with the remaining berries.
