Bunless burgers are pretty awesome.

In fact, burgers and meat are WAY better without a measly, soggy bun that simply detracts from the flavor of the mighty meat.

Avocado is pretty great too.

And, on a burger – avocado is astounding.

To create a an avocado slaw “stack” of sorts, can be a little tricky, but it’s possible.

Here goes.

Burgers and Amazing Avocado Slaw

1 lb. grass fed ground beef
2 large ripe avocados
2 cups broccoli slaw
1 large bunch of cilantro, chopped
Florida Sunshine seasoned salt
1/4 cup vegetable broth
2 Tbs. grassfed gelatin

Steam the veggie slaw for about 1-2 minutes, just to take the bite out of the broccoli.
Combine HOT vegetable broth with 2 Tbs. gelatin in a medium sized bowl. Stir well. Add 3/4 cup of the steamed slaw and 1 smashed avocado. Stir well. Divide the mixture into 2-3 ramekins and smash in. Allow to cool and set for a few hours, to form the bottom “stack.”

Meanwhile, season the meat with plenty of Florida Sunshine and form into 2-3 patties, slightly bigger in size than the bottom “stacks,” remembering that the burgers will shrink a bit while cooking.
Bake, yes bake, those burgers in a glass baking dish, covered, for about 30 minutes – or longer if you prefer less rarity to you meat.
Flip the bottom stack ramekins to plop the stacks on the serving plates. Top with a burger patty (this actually needs to be the last step so that the gelatin doesn’t melt). Pour the remaining burger juices into the rest of the slaw, add chopped cilantro, more Florida Sunshine, and the remaining avocado. Smash well.
Top the stack with the amazing avocado slaw.
