It’s not often that I end up with leftovers in the kitchen.
I pride myself on my efficiency and exactness in planning (or I force-feed any extras to my hubby – just kidding).
In any case, the fridge is either chock full of items in preparation for the creation of the day, or absolutely empty at the end of the night, before my next morning trip to the market.

Pesto, though, is an exception. It seems no matter how careful I am in my crafting, I tend to go overboard in my generosity of ingredients. Perhaps it’s just because it’s THAT good.

So, after finishing off the delectability of my Roasted Potatoes, Pork Tenderloin, & Pistachio Tomato Pesto…I had a bit of pesto to throw around.

It seemed fitting for a late day breakfast roll. Nothing sweet, but twisted and tangled, and terrifically tantalizing.

A small hunk of Basic Pizza Dough, slathered in extra Pistachio Tomato Pesto, rolled, twisted and tied…and we were in brunch time heaven.
