I wasn’t going to post a recipe today…

In fact, I wasn’t going to do much of anything in the kitchen today.

However, there is only ONE way to combat the cold and loneliness of a frigid winter day.

And, that is spending time in the kitchen.

Thus, I warmed both my heart and soul (as well as my home) with a beautifully delicious Chocolate Lemon Pastry Twist this morning.

Easy peasy…

Chocolate Lemon Pastry Twist

1 batch homemade pie crust (or 2 refrigerated crusts)
1/2 cup Easy Lemon Curd
1/4 cup shaved semisweet chocolate

2 tsp. melted butter
2 tsp. raw sugar

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Roll out two pie crust rounds. Slather each with equal amounts of Easy Lemon Curd.
Sprinkle with freshly shaven chocolate.
Roll each round as tightly as possible. Cut in half.
Twist and braid all four rolls into a “pastry twist.
Drizzle with melted butter and sprinkle with raw sugar.

Bake for about 25 minutes.

Good luck waiting for this twist to cool before delighting yourself in all ways gourmet.
