Remember the Starbucks Unicorn Frappuccino craze back in April?
It was insane. Starbucks must really have some good minds behind their marketing ~ those geniuses sold more of those sugary fruit smoothies in a few days than anything on earth (well, I may be slightly exaggerating – but you get the point).

Another part of the hoo-ha surrounding the fruity frozen Frappe was the sugar content. Photos flooded Facebook and Instagram highlighting the whopping 62 grams of carbohydrate and 59 grams of sugar.

Well guess what, folks, Starbucks has been successfully selling vanilla, chocolate, caramel, and “cupcake creme” frosty blends for years on end, which contain the same grams of both carbohydrate and sugar (IF NOT MORE) than the rainbow colored delight without any to-do or complaint.

Hmmm…

Rather than ranting and raving or whistle blowing about the Starbucks franchise or the dietary choices of those who choose to delight in unicorn dust, let’s settle for our own delicious version of a chocolatey-coffee-creamy delight – chalk full of health and happiness.
We may not see sparkling rainbows emanating from the blender, but with plant-based protein, healthy fats, and a whole lotta deliciousness, our hearts will be singing colors and raining sprinkles anyway.

Enjoy.
