Candied Coffee Nuts




Candied Coffee Nuts 

2 c. pecans
2 c. almonds
2 c. walnuts
1/4 c. pure maple syrup
2 Tbs. melted Kerrygold butter
2 Tbs. finely minced mixed herbs, such as rosemary, sage, savory, and thyme**
1 tsp. instant espresso
1 tsp. unsweetened cocoa powder

Sea salt and freshly ground pepper


**Substituting Herbs de Provence is perfectly convenient

 

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.  

 

Toss the nuts with maple syrup, melted butter, herbs, espresso, and cocoa in a bowl.  

 

Spread the nuts on a rimmed baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned.  

 

Season with wonderfully terrific sea salt and pepper.  

 

Toss frequently until cooled.
