MONSTER COOKIES.
I am torn.
These are some monsters of a cookie. Made for cookie monsters, perhaps.
There really is no Marla involved. However, those who know me well, are all too familiar with my adoration of alliteration.
Thus, mounds of deliciousness called for a mouthful of a masthead – a name, a title…
Marla’s Monster Cookies
Dry:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. sea salt
Whisk together the dry ingredients and set aside.
Wet:
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
2 large eggs
2 tsp. vanilla extract
Beat together the wet ingredients until creamy.
Additions:
2 cups whole oats
1 cup raisins
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup walnuts
1 tsp. cinnamon
Fold in the additional ingredients until well combined.
Chill for several hours.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Using a melon baller or small scoop, plop down the cookie dough balls, about 2″ apart, on a parchment or Silpat lined baking sheet.
Bake for about 15 minutes.
Remove from oven and allow to cook on the cookie sheet for 2 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
Once completely cool, package up with a card and a bow and deliver to any and every monster you know!
