Dark Chocolate Cherry Tart
Dark, rich, luscious, and so delicious! Chocolate lovers beware, you won’t be able to stop – licking your lips, smacking your lips, and savoring the delight of this decadent treat.
A chocolate graham cracker crust is layered with cherry preserves and then topped with an amazing dark chocolate ganache. Enjoy!
Dark Chocolate Cherry Tart
Crust:
1 sleeve chocolate graham crackers
1 stick butter, melted
Preheat oven to 400° F.
Process the graham crackers in a food processor into a fine crumb. Add the melted butter and whir until smooth.
Line a small tart pan with parchment paper and press the cracker crust into the pan.
Bake for 10-15 minutes, until fragrant and beginning to brown.
Cool.
Filling:
1 ¼ cups Cherry Preserves
Evenly spread the Cherry Preserves over the bottom of the cooled crust.
Chill for several hours.
Chocolate Ganache:
12 oz. dark chocolate chips
1/3 cup heavy cream
Over very low heat, melt the chocolate and slowly stir in the cream.
Continue to stir until smooth and well combined.
Pour the ganache over the chilled Cherry Preserves layer.
Chill, again, for several hours.
Garnish:
fresh cherries (or Luxardo cherries)
dried cherries
Garnish with fresh (jarred) and dried cherries before slicing and serving.
