Double Dark Chocolate Fudge Cherry Cake Cookies
Some may call this a “cheat” recipe, using a pre-made cake mix as a base.
I, however, beg to differ.
This is not a “cheat.” I have the knowledge, the skills, the time, and ALL THE THINGS needed to concoct this ship on its own.
However, there just happened to be two boxes of Duncan Hines Dark Chocolate Fudge Cake Mix lurking in the pantry.
I call the use of them innovative, creative, and artistic. Cake cookies – DOUBLE Dark Chocolate Fudge Cherry Cake Cookies.
Double Dark Chocolate Fudge Cherry Cake Cookies
2 sticks butter, room temperature
2 boxes Duncan Hines Dark Chocolate Fudge Cake Mix
6 large eggs
1 cup all-purpose flour
10 oz. dark chocolate chunks
10 oz. dried cherries
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
Whip the butter until creamy.
Add the boxed cake mix and eggs and beat until fluffy. Fold in the flour and mix until well combined.
Next, fold in the chocolate chunks and dried cherries.
Scoop 1″- sized balls onto the prepared cookie sheets.
Bake for 15-18 minutes, until puffy and somewhat crispy.
Remove from the oven and allow these Double Dark Chocolate Fudge Cherry Cake Cookies to cool – if you can!!!
