Whiskey Spiked Honey Peanut Avocado
We all know I have extreme and odd food preferences.
I adore unique and unusual food combinations.
I enjoy experimenting with different flavor pairings, amalgamations, textures, and seasonings. And I simply require a bit of crunch to all the meals and bites I consume. I also adhere to a strict diet of combining sweet, salty, creamy, and smooth – as well as sharp (hard cheeses), and crispy in every bite.
This often leads to bowls of appealingly strange meals – but they are always so satisfyingly tasty.
Not necessarily always “gourmet,” but I do adore my eating style and enjoy every single morsel.
This leads me to the Whiskey Spiked Honey Peanut Avocado creation.
The ultimate upscale foodie bar snack.
I often can be witnessed slathering peanut or almond butter with avocado (and sometimes Kerrygold Irish Butter) over a spoon and directly into my mouth – why not up the ante and create some extra texture and a sweet little kick with honey-roasted peanuts AND a touch of amazingly caramelized aged whiskey?
Whiskey Spiked Honey Peanut Avocado
1 large, ripe avocado, peeled and smashed
1/4 cup honey-roasted peanuts
2 tsp. fine, sherry cask (or not) whiskey
Mix all ingredients together and enjoy on a spoon. YUM!
Or spread on toasted sourdough or whole-grain thick slabs of bread for your new favorite “avocado toast” recipe.
