Cardamom Chai Martini
I’m a HUGE Chai lover. HUGE!
But, I’m quite particular about my chai (and everything else in my life) – we all know I’m “The Princess 👑 and the Pea” – yes, that’s me.
My chai tea MUST elicit a longing for more and a generous bit of both cardamom and clove.
While many may considerate that to be too strong in the fortitude of flavors, in my humble opinion, cinnamon needs a hint of something else for perfection and satisfaction in a steamy hot and cozy beverage – and in this case, an ice cold, coconut-infused martini.
Don’t forget the vodka. Only the cream of the crop – the JEWEL of all vodkas for this princess.
Cardamom Chai Martini
1 tsp. Cardamom Chai Spice Mix*
1 tsp. raw honey
1/4 cup ice-cold water
3 large ice cubes
3 oz. Jewel of Russia vodka
2 tsp. whipping cream
Combine all the spices for the Cardamom Chai Spice Mix*. Mix well. Store in a small spice container, reserving 1 tsp. in a shaker jar for the drink.
Add 1 tsp. raw honey and cold water.
Shake vigorously until well combined and emulsified. SHAKE. SHAKE. SHAKE.
Add the ice and vodka and shake again, until frothy. Let sit for 1-2 minutes, until the froth subsides.
Transfer to a chilled martini glass.
Drizzle with whipping cream and garnish with cardamom pods.
Sip and savor a bit of heaven.
