Chocolate Raisin Bran Breakfast Bread




I’ve long been a fan of chocolate and raisins together. This may seem like an incredibly unlikely combination, but it is, indeed, delicious. And, with the earthy, hearty addition of sweet bran, the combination morphs into something rather magical.


Chocolate Raisin Bran Breakfast Bread 

1 box chocolate cake mix
1 box Raisin Bran cereal
5 large eggs, beaten
1/2 cup oil
1/2 cup cream
1/4 cup water
3/4 cup miniature chocolate chips

 

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

 

Prepare a ring cake baking pan with powdered baking spray.

 

In a large bowl, crush the cereal and mix with the cake mix and eggs. 

 

Mix well, until fully combined.

 

Add the oil, cream, and water.

 

Fold in the chocolate chips.

 

Mix until the batter is ready to bake – thick, but cakey.

 

Bake for 45-50 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

 

Remove from oven and cool for 60 minutes.

 

Invert onto a large plate to release from the baking pan.

 

Slice and serve.
