4 Tbs. + butter, melted
14 oz. (1 can) Dulce de Leche (caramelized sweetened condensed milk)
1 cup half and half
6 large eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
pinch of kosher salt
1 Tbs. fresh tarragon, minced
Grease a deep-dish square baking dish with the + butter.
In a large bowl, beat together the eggs and dulce the leche until soft and creamy.
Add the half and half, vanilla, salt, and tarragon.
Lightly whisk until well combined.
Line the greased baking dish with 4 slices of Brioche.
Drizzle 1/3 of the egg mixture over the top, fully immersing the bread in the liquid egg mixture.
Top with another layer of bread slices and repeat with another 1/3 of the egg mixture.
Top with the final layer of bread and egg mixture, ensuring all surfaces of the bread are immersed in the liquid.
Marinate for 30-60 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
Bake, uncovered for 35-40 minutes, until the eggs are fully baked and the toast begins to brown.
