Chocolate Peanut Butter Oatmeal Gold Cookies

 

½ cup butter, room temperature

1 cup peanut butter
1 ½ cups sweetened condensed milk

1 tsp. baking powder

1 tsp. baking soda

¼ tsp. salt

1 tsp. vanilla

1 large egg

2 cups oatmeal

1 cup flour

4 oz.100% dark chocolate (broken into chunks)

1 Tbs. gold flakes

 

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

 

Cream together the butter, peanut butter, sweetened condensed milk, baking powder, baking soda, salt, vanilla, and egg. Make sure things are smooth.

 

Mix in the oatmeal and flour and blend well.

 

Fold in the chocolate chunks and gold flakes.

 

Form into golf-ball-sized round and flatten into cookie discs.

 

Place on parchment-lined cookie sheets and bake for 14-15 minutes, until just beginning to brown.

 

Cool before serving.
