Puff Pastry Pesto Parmesan Rolls
A delectable combination of flaky, golden puff pastry, zesty basil pesto, and nutty Parmesan cheese, this easy-to-make appetizer is perfect for any reason. In fact, it doesn’t really need to fall into the appetizer category – it’s a snack, an easy meal, or a “dessert” indulgence for those of us who prefer savory over sweet. I even enjoyed a few rolls for breakfast!
Puff Pastry Pesto Parmesan Rolls
2 sheets frozen puff pastry, thawed
½-3/4 cup basil pesto
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Preheat the oven to 400°F.
Roll out the puff pastry sheets to increase the size by 1/3, maintaining a square or rectangular shape.
Spread a thin layer of pesto evenly over the pastry.
Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
Slice into 1” wide lengths.
Roll into spiral rolls and transfer to paper-lined muffin tins.
Bake for 25 minutes, until the pastry and cheese are bubbly and golden brown.
