Cherry Almond Sourdough Bread
I’ve been baking a lot of sourdough bread lately. After all, I do have to feed my “baby.”
However impossible that this statement is, it happened: “I was getting tired of just plain old sourdough.”
So, I decided to jazz it up a little bit.
I didn’t want anything overly spicy, herbal, or sweet. So, I decided on the subtly saccharine delight of cherry preserves and honey-roasted almonds.
The result was magnificent, especially toasted and slathered with melted butter.
Cherry Almond Sourdough Bread
1 recipe Stay-at-Home Sourdough (minus the water)
12 oz. Cherry Preserves
1 cup honey-roasted almonds, chopped
Follow the basic instructions for the Stay-at-Home Sourdough, substituting the Cherry Preserves for the water and folding in the chopped almonds.
Bake, slice, toast, and enjoy!
