Tender, buttery, melt in your mouth, caramelized cookies made with Latin American dulce de leche “milk jam” and honey graham taste like a rich, creamy, milky caramel with honey crunch, all in each bite! All recipients and taste testers swooned at the mere touch of the cookies on the tongue. You really must try these “sweet milk” and graham cracker babies. They will be your new favorite everything, I promise. 
Oh, and with coffee – OMG!!! 😋

Dulce de Leche Graham Cookies

12 Tbs. butter or shortening, room temperature (1 1/2 sticks butter)
1 pkg. honey graham crackers, broken into pieces (about 5 oz – 1 of 3 pkgs in a box)
1 13.4 oz. can Dulce de Leche
1 cup white sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. sea salt
2 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Using a stand mixer, cream together the butter or shortening with the the graham cracker pieces.
Add the Dulce de Leche and further mix until smooth.
Add the sugar, baking soda, baking powder, vanilla, and sea salt. Beat until smooth and creamy.
Add the flour, 1/2 cup at a time, until doughy and well combined.

Scoop 1″ balls onto parchment lined baking dishes.
Flatten into discs.

Bake for 10-11 minutes, until golden brown and fragrant.

These amazing wonders will be chewy, soft, caramelized, and just plain wonderful, once they are cool enough to consume! 😋
