‘Tis the season to celebrate.

And, what’s better to celebrate than with a bit of bubbly!

I actually believed bubbly and sparkling wines to be on my list of those things I shall eschew.
It’s one of those gloriously grand items I wanted to like, but just believed I did not and would not.

I trained myself to adore olives, and have tried with bacon – still working on that one –

but this day, I didn’t even have to try.

I’ve graduated to a new level of elegance and sophistication.

Thank you, my bubbly bounty.

Dry. Extra Dry. Brut.

Champagne, you’re next.

Hibiscus Royale

Hibiscus Flowers in Syrup**
sparkling wine

Drop one hibiscus flower into each Champagne flute, with a few teaspoons of syrup.
Fill the glass with bubbly and allow the flower to bloom just before your eyes.

Can you imagine anything more elegant and celebratory for the holiday season?
I don’t think I can…oh, wait, I guess there’s always Peanut M&Ms.
