Maybe just because it’s summertime. Maybe just because I adore lemon in every way. Or, maybe it’s the beauty of the flowers.
No matter what the “maybe,” this lemony pasta treat will certainly treat your palate and your palette.

Lemon Petal Pasta

1 pkg. spaghetti noodles
sea salt
8 Tbs. butter, room temperature
juice and zest of 1 large fresh lemon
sea salt and freshly ground pepper
1 Preserved Lemon, rinsed and sliced
1/2 cup fresh edible flowers

Bring a large pot of water to a rolling boil.
Season the water with salt.
Add the pasta and bring to a boil again.
Cook, boiling, for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until al dente.

Drain.

Return to the pot and add the butter, lemon juice, zest, and plenty of sea salt and pepper. Stir well, until the butter is melted and fully absorbed.
Stir in the preserved lemon slices and sprinkle with the flowers to serve.
