The sun is shining and we often related Memorial Day Weekend with firing up the grill, backyard or patio parties filled with burgers and dogs, as well as all the red, white and blue.

This year is different – well, haven’t all the years and things been different since March of 2020?

This year, we need a little “Chicken Soup” to memorialize the veteran soul.
Thus: Patriotic Chicken Noodle Soup.

My bestie, Val, of MyKitchenCoop, whipped up a batch of truly homemade chicken noodle soup this weekend for those in her life who needed it most.

Homemade noodles (she taught me) – so bright and colorful and festive- no artificial dyes or anything. She’s the queen of living off the land.
And, gorgeously prepared mirepoix and chicken to simmer in the homemade broth, before adding the brilliantly red white and blue stars and stripes.

Valerie is a magician. 🧙🏻‍♀️She is a chef. 👩‍🍳She is an artist.👩‍🎨 And, she’s a brilliant unicorn. 🦄
