Well, bright frosting and sprinkles will do partially, and the rest of the sparkles will come from the flavor and from the practice!

In any case, my amazing neighbors gifted me yoga cookie cutters!
BEST GIFT EVER, right?

If you know me, and know me well, baking cookies and practicing yoga are some of my favorite things – and things I do on the regular (in addition to drinking wine, eating cheese, and cuddling in my jammies).

These two friends know all these things about me (often surprising me with spectacular wine 🍷 too), and could possibly be the best neighbors on earth. I could go on and on about all that these two gems do for me.

And, I have a sneaking suspicion they may just have known that yoga sugar cookies would be arriving at their door within hours of the gift delivery!!! πŸ˜‹β˜ΊοΈπŸ˜‹

Yoga Sugar Cookies

Yoga Sugar Cookies

1 stick butter, room temperature
1 large egg
3/4 cup white sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. almond extract
1/4 tsp. sea salt
2 cups all purpose flour

Cream together the butter, egg, and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the vanilla and almond extracts and sea salt. Cream again.
Add the flour 1/2 cup at a time and mix until well combined and doughy.

Divide the dough into three mounds.

Roll each mound out into 1/8-1/4″ discs, between two pieces of parchment paper. Layer the discs between parchment paper and chill for several hours.

Once ready to bake, preheat the oven to 325 degrees.

Using cookie cutters, cut out shapes and then re-roll the scraps until the dough is finished.

Bake on parchment lined cookie sheets and bake for 10-12 minutes.

Remove from the oven and cool before frosting (optional).

Easy Frosting:
1 cup powdered sugar
1 Tbs. water
1/8 tsp. food coloring

Whisk all ingredients together and slather over cooled sugar cookies.
Feel free to make different batches for different color and then add sprinkles! CELEBRATE with sprinkles every day! πŸ₯³πŸ€©πŸ₯³
