Oats N’ Honey Peanut Butter Chocolate Granola Bars

My stepson visited from Florida recently and grabbed a Chewy Nut Butter Oatmeal Bar for breakfast.

His mind was blown 🤯!

“Oh my god. What is in these things? They are magical! I can’t stop eating them!”

I’ve received this feedback from every single person who has had the opportunity to taste these homemade granola bars.
In my humble opinion, they are pretty darn simple and so easy, which, I suppose, is what makes them so great.

I decided to craft them again, but this time with the “Nature Valley” theme of Oat n’ Honey – the green ones, but still adding some chocolate to make them a bit “extra.”

The result was, of course, EXTRA and enjoyed in every EXTRA way!

Thus, enjoy a slightly alternate version of the yummy Chewy Nut Butter Oatmeal Bar recipe from a few weeks ago and compare – let me know which ones you like best.

(The major difference – instead of using a base of raw oatmeal, I used honey and oat granola (already toasted and crispy) and a little extra chocolate!)

Oats N’ Honey Peanut Butter Chocolate Granola Bars

2 cups chopped dates
1 cup toasted, chopped almonds
1 cup chocolate chips
1 cup chocolate almond trail mix
1 cup smooth peanut butter
1 cup whipped honey
2 1/2 cups Oats and Honey Granola

In a large bowl, combine the dates, nuts, chocolate, trail mix, peanut butter, and honey until well incorporated.
Fold in the granola until all surfaces of the granola have been coated with the sticky honey nut butter mixture.

Press into a large 9x13 glass pan and tightly cover with plastic wrap.

Chill for several hours to set.

Slice to serve.

Wrap each sliced “bar” in plastic wrap to individually store.
